초록/해제: 요약 :This study was designed to evaluate the effect of evening primrose oil on atopic dermatitis. The data were collected among outpatients who visited local dermatology clinic for atopic dermatitis treatment from Oct.1, 2010 to Jun. 30, 2011. Patients were divided into two groups - a treatment group and a control group. Evening primrose oil was used in the treatment group. Conventional atopic dermatitis treatment was provided to both of the groups. The data were analyzed with t- test and paired t- test. The results were summarized as follows. 1. The frequencies of worsening events of atopic dermatitis were lower in the treatment group than in the control group. 2. The scales of itching sense were more decreased in the treatment group than in the control group when measured after 8 months of the observation. 3. The total days of steroid use were less in the treatment group than in the control group.
